London: An ex-soldier imprisoned in Britain on charges of terrorism had escaped three days ago wearing a chef’s uniform and was re-arrested by the police.
According to British media, the police finally arrested 21-year-old Daniel Abid, an ex-soldier who escaped from Wandsworth prison, after a continuous search, when he was cycling in the North West region.
Regarding this successful operation, Scotland Yard Police told the media that this work would not have been possible without the help of the citizens. There were reports of the presence of fugitive soldiers from more than 100 places.

The police further said that it was only because of these reports from the citizens that we were able to reach the place where the escaped prisoner was located, 14 miles away from Wandsworth prison.
The ex-serviceman escaped from the jail on September 7 by hiding in a kitchen van. Daniel Abid joined the army in 2019 and was expelled from the army in May this year for planning to make a bomb and plant it in three different locations.
