Caretaker Information Minister Punjab Aamir Mir has said that the process of amendments in the Drama Act will be completed in 10 days.
Talking to the media in Lahore, Aamir Mir said that the Shalimar Theater on Bedian Road was sealed again, despite the ban, the stage play was being shown in this theater.
He said that theater manager Mahmood Akhtar has violated government rules and regulations (SOPs).
Caretaker Information Minister Punjab further said that a complete ban has been imposed on stage plays. Warning letters were issued to all theater owners across the province.
He said that no drama will be shown in any theater until the amendments in the Dramatic Act 1876 are approved. The process of amendments in the Drama Act will be completed in 10 days.
