In Chaman, the government quota of sugar from the sugar mills of Sindh has been delivered to the market, after which the price of sugar continues to fall.
According to the dealers association, sugar is being sold at Rs 170 per kg in the wholesale market in Chaman.
Dealers say that the retail price of sugar ranges from Rs 185 to Rs 190 per kg. Shopkeepers are facing losses due to low prices due to old stocks.
The dealers association has said that the retail vendors are not willing to sell the sugar bought at a low price.
Lahore: Sugar started selling at 180 to 195 rupees per kg
On the other hand, in Lahore, sugar is being sold at 180 to 195 rupees per kg, while the official rate of sugar has been kept at 98 rupees 25 paise per kg.
In Lahore, a 10 kg bag of flour is being sold at Rs 1,420 and a 20 kg bag of flour is being sold at Rs 2,700 to Rs 2,850.
