Karachi: In Korangi, a high-speed water tanker ran over citizens standing on foot, 2 people were killed and 2 injured.
According to Express News, a high-speed water tanker ran over people standing on the footpath near Korangi Singer Chowrangi, as a result of which 50-year-old Saeed and 30-year-old Saleem were killed, while two people Umar Zaman and Zain were injured.
According to the police, the dead and injured were rescued and shifted to Jinnah Hospital. The condition of the injured is out of danger. The tanker driver escaped from the spot. Police arrested the driver after 4 hours of struggle.
The accused said that his tanker was empty, he was going to Landhi pumping station to fill water, he was running because the tanker was empty, which caused the tanker to get out of control, which caused it to fall on the footpath.
Awami Colony Police arrested the accused Naseeb Khan. The deceased were residents of Landhi 36B and employed in a factory.
