New Delhi: In the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, knife-wielding assailants killed one officer of the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force and seriously injured another.
According to Indian media, the incident took place in Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border Bodamsa when the two officials came to the market in plain clothes and were shopping.
Meanwhile, two assailants came on a motorcycle and stabbed the officials with a sharp knife one after another, as a result of which the official named Sunil Kumar Pandey was killed on the spot.
The second official has been seriously injured and shifted to a nearby hospital where his condition is said to be critical. Both these officers were posted in 106 Battalion in Arunachal Pradesh.
Meanwhile, Dharmendra Kumar, a 30-year-old constable of Bharti Sashstra Seemabal, was shot dead in the eastern district of Champaran in the state of Bihar.
On the other hand, Bipin Chandra Roy of 128 Battalion of Indian Central Reserve Police Force committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling of his room in the army camp in Guwahati city.
