General elections should be held according to the constitution, Bilawal Bhutto

Karachi: Chairman People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that according to the constitution, general elections should be held so that the democratic government can solve the problems of the people.

According to the press release issued by Media Cell Bilawal House, Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmad Khoro, former Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, former Federal Minister Syed Naveed Qamar, former Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Hussain Shah and PPP The President of Sindh Women’s Department, Shaughta Jumani, held separate meetings.

During the meetings, political and economic situation of the country, public issues and organizational matters were discussed. Speaking on the occasion, PPP Chairman said that his party is ready for the upcoming general elections and will participate in it vigorously.

While giving instructions to the party officials and workers, he said that in connection with the preparations for the general elections, youths should be mobilized throughout the country. Central and subsidiary organizations of Pakistan People’s Party should be ready to play their dynamic and effective role and reach the workers door to door for success in the general elections.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that it is not easy to get better results in the elections without active involvement of women in the democratic system. He emphasized that women should play their positive role in general elections across the country. He also directed to fill the vacant party posts at taluka, union council and ward level immediately.

During the meeting, former Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah told the party chairman that in view of the inflation and economic situation in the country, the previous public government of Sindh had given subsidy for public transport so that the fares would not increase during the worst inflation, but the caretaker government Subsidy has stopped.

He said that the caretaker government has also frozen the funds allocated for the development projects and also stopped the funds of the government hospitals of Sindh. On Murad Ali Shah’s briefing, the PPP Chairman said that solving the problems of the common man in the worst inflation should be the first priority of the administration.

Bilawal Bhutto demanded that the people are grinding in the mill of inflation, the administration should take all possible measures to provide relief. He further said that putting public welfare projects on cold storage in the current economic situation would also be against other human rights.
