Peshawar: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, prisoners serving their sentence in jail have passed the matriculation examination.
According to sources, 12 life and death sentence prisoners have cleared the matriculation examination, while 60 serious crime prisoners have also cleared the ninth and tenth examinations.
Many inmates who appeared for the matriculation examination have also failed. According to the Jail Superintendent, the prisoners who pass the Class 9 and 10 exams will be given a one-year reprieve in their sentence. Apart from this, they will also be awarded with prizes.
