Karachi: The principal who harassed the women of the school in Gulshan Hadid area was arrested, the police also received the videos of the harassment of the women.
According to the details, school principal Irfan Ghafoor Memon was arrested for harassing and blackmailing women in Gulshan Hadid.
SSP Malir Hasan Sardar Niazi says that the police had received complaints that the principal of the school was involved in blackmailing and harassing women.
He said that secret videos were also provided to the police in this regard, after which the police has arrested the principal of the school in the light of the evidence and legal action is being taken against him.
Hasan Sardar Niazi said that the accused is also the owner of the school and also the principal, who used to rape female teachers on the pretense of employment and blackmail them by making CCTV footage of them.
In this regard, SSP Malir said that the police have received around 25 videos of the principal’s room, which are being examined and the affected women are also being contacted.
He said that five women victims of sexual abuse and blackmailing have been identified so far while a committee has been formed to contact the women.
He said that the police will also record the statements of Ali and Shakeel, the electrician who installed the CCTV cameras.
Notice of Sindh Governor and Education Minister
Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori and Education Minister Rana Hussain took notice of the news of sexual harassment of female students in Gulshan Hadid’s private school and directed the Secretary School Education to submit a report on the incident.
Governor Sindh said that such incidents are not acceptable in any case, he also instructed Additional IG Karachi to take legal action against those involved in the incident.
On the other hand, on the direction of Education Minister Rana Hussain, the Directorate of Private Institutions has formed a four-member committee to investigate the incident.
