According to the report of the Ministry of Finance, Pakistan’s domestic and foreign debts increased by another 10 thousand billion rupees to 59 thousand 247 billion rupees in the 9 months up to March 2023.
Among them, the domestic debt of the government is 35 thousand 76 billion rupees and the foreign debt is 24 thousand 171 billion rupees.
According to the report of the Ministry of Finance, the external debt of the government was 88.8 billion dollars in the last financial year. External debt rose to 40.8 percent of total debt, up from 36.9 percent in the previous fiscal year.
