Lahore: Information and Culture Minister Aamir Mir dismissed the heads of Arts Council Gujranwala and Faisalabad from their posts for failing to stop obscene dance.
According to the details, the concerned ministry said that the two heads had failed to stop obscene dances in theaters and theaters showing obscene dances in Faisalabad and Gujranwala have also been closed.
Minister of Information and Culture Amir Mir said that the two heads of the Arts Council were protecting the mafia spreading obscenity in the name of art, they will be dismissed and new officers have been appointed in place of the heads.
He said that instructions have been issued to the heads of Arts Council across Punjab for strict monitoring of stage plays, strict action will be taken in case of complaint anywhere.
