Russia: Online form for filing complaints against homosexual content launched

Moscow: Russia’s Federal Censor Board Roskomnadzor has released an online form for citizens to file complaints against any LGBTQ+ content to the authorities.

According to global media reports, Roskomnidzor’s deputy head, Vadam Sobotin, said that the agency will start blocking sites from today that do not remove LGBTQ-related content from their pages within 24 hours of being notified. Do

He also said that we have started receiving reports and complaints against LGBTQ content. We are monitoring them ourselves and expert decisions are being taken on that basis.

It should be noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law outlawing LGBTQ propaganda nationwide in December 2022. Immediately, bookstores and libraries began removing books that were possibly based on this type of content, while television and video games also took action against this type of content.
