Three passengers who came to Karachi from Libya showed symptoms of monkey pox

Karachi: Three passengers arriving at Jinnah International Airport from Libya have shown symptoms of monkeypox.

According to the details, three suspected cases of monkey pox were identified at Jinnah International Airport. On Thursday, three passengers from Libya showed symptoms of monkey pox.

The administration has quarantined the affected passengers after they showed symptoms of monkey pox and shifted them to the hospital.

According to the post issued by the Sindh Health Department, it is to inform all concerned that the Karachi Airport Surveillance Team of the Health Department identified 3 passengers from Libya on 31 August 2023, aged between 30 and 45. were between the years and were found to have symptoms of monkey pox.

According to the Sindh Health Department, the three passengers possibly infected with the virus are Pakistani citizens, who were quarantined at the Infectious Diseases Hospital of the Sindh Health Department for further investigation.

It should be noted that this year there was a patient of infectious disease, who returned from Saudi Arabia in the first week of May and recovered from monkey pox after treatment.
