Caretaker Federal Minister of Commerce Gohar Ejaz has said that 50% of our economy is not documented, there is a need for complete documentation of the country’s economy.
Addressing the ceremony in Lahore, the caretaker Minister of Commerce said that it is not that we do not have products, we have not introduced the export culture, our country has a population of 250 million and our exports are 27 billion dollars.
Gohar Ejaz said that we have shortage of dollars, we have to increase our exports, in 2022 there were 28 billion remittances and exports of 30 billion dollars, now we have to take the export to 80 billion dollars.
He said that marble, minerals, leather, furniture, everything we have to sell in the world, we have to sell our goods in the world, we have to turn our industries towards export.
The caretaker trade minister said that the dollar has become 315 rupees, today we are importing 100 percent, we have to come to Pakistani things. There are many problems in the society but don’t worry.
He said that instead of spending 80 billion dollars, exports should be taken up to 80 billion dollars, he will give a strategic plan for exports.
