Karachi: In al-Falah Golden Town, the husband committed suicide by shooting himself after going to his in-laws’ house and shooting and killing his wife.
According to the police, the deceased was married to Bilal, a resident of Model Colony, a year ago and she was the mother of a daughter. In this regard, the father of the deceased Jawaria said that his son-in-law Bilal used to torture his daughter since two and a half months after marriage.
He said that the daughter did not tell at first, but later when we came to know, we took action and talked to her family and met the neighbors and they also told her that this is a wrong practice. He told that his son-in-law was psychotic and told his family about this to get him treated, but he went to the extent of taking our daughter’s life.
The father of the deceased said that sometimes the daughter used to come home by herself and the son-in-law himself left the house saying that he would not come to pick her up, but after a few days her family members came and begged her to take her. Again, the son-in-law had beaten the daughter, on receiving the information, he went straight from his office to her house and discussed the matter with her mother and explained that it was wrong, the daughter was born because of these actions. She will get married but even on this occasion Bilal said in front of me and his mother that I will get a divorce.
He said that when the incident happened, he was not at home, but it was found that his son-in-law Bilal made a noise as soon as he came home and took out his weapon when his daughter came in front of him. Meanwhile, my son also tried to stop him, but he shot dead my daughter and also shot himself.
