Demonstration of electricity company employees in favor of facility of free units

Quetta/Lahore: The employees of Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) and Kanpur Electric City Supply Company Limited (KESCO) came to the fray over the decision of possible abolition of free units.

According to the details, Kisco employees in Quetta protested against the announcement of the abolition of free units and took out a protest rally at the chief office, which ended in a rally.

The protestors were carrying placards and banners in their hands on which the demands of the employees were written.

The protesters demanded the government to immediately withdraw the decision to end the free electricity units of the employees and provide relief to them as they are struggling to survive in this era of inflation.

On the other hand, Pakistan Wapda Employees Union demonstrated in favor of free electricity facility. The President of WAPDA Employees Union said that there will be severe reaction if the free electricity provided to the employees is stopped.

The protestors said that classification in bills, political interference, all taxes in electricity bills should be removed immediately to provide cheap electricity to the people.
