Karachi: Lawyers came out on the streets against K-Electric, over-billing, secret charges and inflation.
Lawyers took out a protest rally from Sindh High Court to Karachi Press Club and also burnt K Electric bills.
Lawyers protested against the increase in electricity bills and food prices and took out a rally from Sindh High Court to Karachi Press Club.
Before the rally, a general body meeting of the Sindh High Court Bar Association was held.
Former Vice Chairman Sindh Bar Council Barrister Haider Imam Advocate said that the country is being looted like the East India Company, whoever raises his voice will be taken away. Like Iman Mazari, many women have gone missing. We stand with the people against the rising electricity bills of K Electric.
The lawyers held placards against K-Electric, over-billing, secret charges and inflation. They shouted slogans against K Electric and also burnt the bills of K Electric.
The lawyers demanded immediate relief in electricity bills and withdrawal of excess tax.
