Women T20 World Cup: India beat Pakistan by 7 wickets in the first match

Cape Town: India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup match.

In the match played in Cape Town, South Africa, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 149 runs for the loss of four wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Bisma Maruf 68 and Ayesha Naseem stood out with 43 runs, Muniba Ali 12 and Jawaria Khan could only score 8 runs.

India achieved the target of 150 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in the 19th over.

Yastika Bhatia scored 17 runs, Shafali Verma scored 33 runs and Harmanpreet scored 16 runs for India.

Jemima Rodrigues 53 and Richagosh played a brilliant not out innings of 31 runs.
