Quetta: The Balochistan High Court also canceled the non-bailable warrant while dismissing the defamation case against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf chairman.
On 5 March 2023, Insaf Lines Forum filed a petition in the Balochistan High Court to dismiss the case filed by the citizen against Chairman PTI and to cancel the non-bailable warrant.
A two-member bench consisting of Chief Justice Balochistan High Court, Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Gul Hasan Tareen heard and pronounced the decision.
The court declared the PTI Chairman’s non-bailable warrant illegal and quashed it and dismissed the FIR registered at the Bijraj Ghar police station.
According to the report, the FIR was filed against Imran Khan under Sections 124A, 153A and 505 of the PCC, which also included the provisions of Section 20 of the Electronic Crime Act, 2016.
