Libya’s prime minister fired female foreign minister Najla Mangosh after meeting with her Israeli counterpart.
Prime Minister Abdul Hamid dismissed Najla Mangosh and ordered an investigation into this meeting, but she has left the country and gone to Turkey.
A statement was issued by Israel that Foreign Minister Eli Cohen met with his Libyan counterpart last week.
It should be noted that Libya and Israel do not have official diplomatic relations, after Israel’s statement there were protests in the Arab country.
In the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Libya on this issue, it was said that there was no formal meeting with the Israeli officials, there was an informal meeting at a meeting of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy.
According to the statement, there was no talk of any agreement in this discussion, we are following the policy of rejecting relations with Israel.

On the other hand, Israel’s Foreign Minister Eli Kon says that I talked to Nijla Mangosh about resigning from the relationship between the two countries.
The meeting was conducted by Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, in which Israeli assistance was also received to control agriculture and water scarcity.
It should be noted that the head of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, David Barnia, and the Prime Minister of Libya, Abdul Hamid, met in January 2022.
