Karachi: Pakistan’s Arshad Nadeem won the silver medal in the javelin throw final of the World Athletics Championships thanks to his second position.
Arshad Nadeem became the first Pakistani to win a medal at the World Athletics Championships. The gold medal went to India’s Neeraj Chopra. He claimed this honor thanks to 88.17 throws.
Arshad Nadeem threw the javelin 74.80 meters in his first attempt, and 82.81 meters in his second attempt.
His javelin throw went 87.82 in the third round, 87.15 meters in the fourth round, the fifth throw was fouled and the sixth throw was 87.82.
