Washington: A 31-year-old Pakistani doctor, Muhammad Masood, was sentenced to 18 years in prison in the United States on charges of terrorism, including working for ISIS.
According to American media, Dr. Muhammad Masood was convicted by a court in the state of Minnesota, who worked for a medical company and was arrested at the airport in 2020 for having links with ISIS.
During the investigation last year, the Pakistani doctor admitted that he intended to support ISIS and also tried to go to Jordan in the first three months of 2020 to join ISIS.
However, during the last attempt, the American intelligence agency officials arrested Dr. Muhammad Masoud at the Minneapolis airport on his way to Jordan and he was indicted on August 16.
Dr. Muhammad Masood came to America from Pakistan on H1B visa. This visa is given to people who are experts in their field from all over the world and Muhammad Masood was also selected through this visa.
