The Ministry of Water and Power gave a briefing to Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar regarding the electricity price.
A meeting regarding electricity rates was held under the chairmanship of the Caretaker Prime Minister, the Ministry of Water and Power gave a briefing to the participants.
Officials told Anwar Haq Kakar that the electricity tariff is determined by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA).
It was further said in the briefing that electricity prices fluctuate under the Consumer Price Index.
Earlier, in a meeting with the delegation of Quetta Chamber of Commerce, the caretaker prime minister said that Balochistan is the largest province in the country in terms of area. Which is a very suitable area for trade due to 2 neighboring countries and Gwadar port.
Important business personalities from Balochistan participated in the meeting and briefed the caretaker prime minister about the problems. On this occasion, Anwar Haq Kakar assured the delegation that the problems would be resolved.
Anwarul Haq Kakar said that Balochistan should be the center of industries as it has abundant mineral reserves and vast agricultural land. The caretaker government will try to start the industrial revolution in Balochistan in a short time.
He said that efforts will be made from the Special Investment Facilitation Council so that Balochistan will benefit more.
