People protested in different cities today due to electricity bills being much higher than expected.
Residents of Shahdara protested against the increase in electricity bills in Lahore, protesters burnt electricity bills and raised slogans against expensive electricity.
The protesters demanded that electricity prices should be reduced.
Meanwhile, Anjuman Tajran protested against taxes in electricity bills in Nowshera.
In Risalpur, traders locked up their shops in protest against the additional taxes in the bills.
Nowshera Mardan Road was closed for traffic due to the protest.
Apart from this, protests were also held in Sargodha, Kamalia, Chunian and Rahim Yar Khan.
