Mumbai: Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar was furious after a female Hindu teacher slapped a Muslim child from Hindu students in the city of Muzaffarnagar in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
A video has gone viral on social media in which a female teacher can be seen ordering Hindu students to slap a Muslim student.
Swara Bhaskar expressed her thoughts on the social networking website X and termed this incident as hypocrisy of Indian citizens.
The actress wrote that Indians who voted for BJP need not be surprised by this incident, they have closed their eyes to hatred and bigotry for a decade.
He further wrote that Indians should place their condemnation on the incident of Islamophobia elsewhere because it will not bring any reward.
Swara Bhaskar also used a hashtag along with her tweet demanding the arrest of the female teacher who incited violence.
