In order to eliminate smog, environmental pollution and save energy in Lahore, the district administration has issued new working hours for commercial markets.
According to the notification, the commercial and wholesale markets will be open from Saturday to Monday till 10 pm while on Sundays the working hours of the commercial markets will be from 2 pm to 10 pm.
Restaurants, hotels, coffee shops will be allowed to open till 11 pm from Monday to Thursday and till 12 pm from Friday to Sunday.
Timings for home delivery of food items are fixed from 12:30 PM.
Medical stores, laboratories, petrol pumps and CNG stations will be exempted from the ban.
The notification further said that milk shops, tandoor and puncture shops will also remain open.
