The stand of a Hindu teacher who beat up a Muslim child from other students in an Indian school class has come to light.
Tripta Taiyagi, a teacher from the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, has justified her actions, saying that despite the case being filed, it is a very small matter.
Talking to Indian media, the female teacher said that I asked other students to beat the boy because he was not doing his homework. There was also pressure from the boy’s parents to be strict with the child.
The female teacher alleged that the video has been edited to give a biased tone to the entire incident.
The female teacher said, “I admit my mistake, I had no such intention but it was unnecessarily made into a big issue.”
She said that I want to tell the politicians that it was a minor issue that leaders including Rahul Gandhi tweeted about, it was not such a big issue to be tweeted about.
The female teacher added that how will teachers teach if such everyday problems are made viral?
According to Indian media, an FIR has been registered against the teacher.
