Jamaat-e-Islami has decided to approach the Supreme Court over the delay in the election.
Liaquat Baloch and former MNA Abdul Akbar Chitrali prepared the application.
It has been argued in the petition that the delay in the general elections is a violation of Article 224 of the Constitution.
In the request on behalf of Jamaat-e-Islami, it has been said that the court should order the Election Commission to issue the declaration of general elections.
The petition has requested that the court issue orders to the Election Commission to conduct the elections within 90 days.
