An emergency meeting was called at the Prime Minister’s House yesterday on the issue of heavy electricity bills.
Related to this matter Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar has said in a statement that an emergency meeting has been called at the Prime Minister House yesterday on the issue of heavy electricity bills.
Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar says that a briefing will be taken from the Ministry of Electricity and distribution companies in the meeting.
The Caretaker Prime Minister has said that consultations will be held to give maximum relief to consumers regarding electricity bills.
It should be noted that the increase in electricity bills has exhausted the patience of the people.
In this regard, demonstrations have also been held in various cities of the country including Karachi, Rawalpindi, Multan, Gujranwala and Peshawar.
