This research has given hope to the people of the world including Pakistan because more than 8% of the population in America is suffering from severe depression while depression is also increasing in Pakistan. Even after treatment and medication, depression returns and severely affects daily life.

According to a report published in the journal ‘Psychopathology and Clinical Science’, a new weapon has emerged in the fight against depression. This weapon is positive thinking and behavior and also a ray of hope. Thanks to this weapon, we can brighten our future by weakening the attack of depression in the future.

Elena Wayne of the University of California, Los Angeles and her colleagues conducted a review (meta-study) of 44 studies and surveys. Which included more than 2000 people who were suffering from severe depression. A total of 2285 people who were mentally healthy were compared with this. Depression and emotion processing were comprehensively assessed in them.

The review found that people who were mired in depression had a long history of negative thinking and seeing the dark side of things. This habit took root, then people started to be unhappy for most of the day and gradually became full blown depression patients. He had also stopped trying to be happy and think on the bright side.

This is exciting research that may help treat depression. Psychologists should treat such patients with positive thinking. This leads to success and can help reduce depression.

According to research, this can also prevent relapse of depression. However, it is important that the patient himself should worry about his health and must consider the positive aspects in life.
