Traders and K Electric staff came face to face on Thursday after the traders announced non-payment of electricity bills in the Karachi Timber Market. The wood traders staged strong resistance and slapped the K Electric officials after K Electric removed the jumpers and meters installed in the timber market.

It should be noted that Sharjeel Goplani, the representative of Timber Market, had announced the non-payment of electricity bills on behalf of Timber Market during the protest demonstration of businessmen across Karachi.

In the demonstration, Mohammad Rizwan, head of the action committee of trade organizations across the city, also supported the decision of the timber market and announced non-payment of electricity bills by all the markets and commercial centers of the city.

Sharjeel Goplani, representative of Timber Market, says that K Electric was informed in writing to stop payment of electricity bills, but despite this, K Electric staff came on Thursday to remove the electric jumper and meter installed in the market.

Sharjeel Goplani said that the K Electric staff did not even have any permit in this regard, which is why the K Electric staff faced resistance and backlash from the affected traders.

Sharjeel Goplani made it clear that traders will not pay additional electricity bills under any circumstances, Karachi traders are reacting strongly to the increase in petrol, electricity, gas tariffs and rising inflation and in this regard Karachi traders have prepared a protest plan. what has happened.
