Karachi: The suspect rammed the policemen with the car at the signal to stop and managed to escape.
During the pursuit of a suspicious car on Abul Hasan Isfahani Road, the suspect hit and crushed the police officers with the car, injuring both officers and the suspect in the car managed to escape from the spot.
Two motorcycle-riding officials of Sachal police station on patrol near a well-known bakery in Sachal police station signaled a suspicious car to stop, and the driver fled. According to Head Editor ASI Khamisa Khan, the motorcycle-riding officials started chasing the car when it did not stop, after which the driver started running the car around the streets while looking in the rear window.
Police officials continued to chase the car. Meanwhile, the car came back to Abul Hasan Isfahani Road and as soon as the motorcycle officials came in front of the car and tried to stop it, the car rider hit and crushed the motorcycle officials and escaped from the spot.
Constable Kashif and Ghulam Mustafa, who were riding the motorcycle, fell down and got seriously injured, out of which the condition of Kashif is said to be critical, while Ghulam Mustafa sustained minor injuries.
On the information of the incident, Sachal, Sohrab Goth and SITE Superhighway police started snap checking to search for the car in the area while searching for the car has been started with the help of CCTV cameras installed at different places.
