The doors of ‘international relations’ should be opened for Urdu

Urdu is a language with an ancient and interesting history. Urdu language is written in ‘Khat Nastaliq’.

Persian and Arabic words are also seen in this language. In the past, the language was also called ‘Rikhta’ in many places, Urdu was the language of the streets of India, but then it became the language of high literature through Fort William College.

History is also a witness that the British officers came to the subcontinent during their rule and learned to speak this language. The nation, which was considered powerful internationally, came to the subcontinent and started learning this language. Even today people in different countries speak Urdu.

A few years ago when I went to Dubai. There was no hope that I would be able to speak my national language there, but it was found that people who went to Dubai from the subcontinent are keeping our language alive there. It was a relief to see this and I also spoke in Urdu there, which was indeed an easy medium of communication for me.

If memory serves me right, I remember that in class 10, we read a travelogue of Ibn Insha, in which Ibn Insha wrote about his visit to China. The good and interesting thing in this travelogue was that Ibn Insha wrote about this university, which taught Urdu language to Chinese students.

Ibn Ansha says that there people used to speak Urdu language brokenly, but they used to speak pure. The sincerity in his language may not be in our nation. From all these things, a hope rises in the heart that it is not impossible to promote Urdu language at the international level. Urdu is the national language of Pakistan.

Generally, we should speak this language with great pride and appreciate students for choosing subjects in Urdu language in educational institutions, but unfortunately, the environment of Pakistan shows the opposite view.

Today’s youth can neither speak nor write Urdu properly. People take pride in speaking English as a foreign language instead of their own national language and consider themselves a great person on that basis.

If one does not understand the English language, then he is looked down upon and we do not know whether the thought of stupidity or slavery comes before us. Which makes the sentence completely true that “The British left, but they left their influence here!”

I am a student of ‘international relations’ and when it comes to international relations, forget the international level. We are given further study in this field only on the condition that we master the English language and completely forget the A, B of the Urdu language.

When they are asked why they don’t use Urdu? So in answer only one point is raised that English is an international language and no one speaks Urdu at that level. This point has weight sir, but if you insist on ending the use of your own national language at the very foundation of the nation and use the language of foreigners, then where will our nationality and language be promoted at the international level? When the nation forgets its own language, how will foreign countries accept it?

The strength of a nation is reflected in its language and language alone creates unity in a nation. Many countries gain fame and development only because of their linguistic friendliness. My grandfather once narrated a story of his life. It was about that time that when he went to Japan for some work and lived there for a while, he found out that the people here are so linguistic that if you don’t talk to them in Japanese, you’re just going to say no. Don’t even answer.

Even at the hotel where he was staying, the staff would give him a room key on the condition that he had to say certain numbers in Japanese. That is, if we do not understand their language, life there is very difficult. There are many other nations which brought their national language to the United Nations due to linguistic bias.

Therefore, I would like to say that after giving up, you end up taking the English language. There should also be limits so that a person does not look down on someone who speaks another language. When it comes to contempt, in my view all nations are respected internationally who use their national language with pride.

While there is no special position of these countries, which adopt the language of others so easily, rather it feels like a slavery to speak the language of the nation that our ancestors enslaved even though it is their own language. Freedom was obtained by giving so many sacrifices.

When Urdu and Hindi got separated and conflicts between Muslims and Hindus increased, God knows how many Muslims had to face the resentment that Hindus were tearing down their language and not giving importance to it. Yes, but today the story is something else. The same Urdu language did not get the status of the official language and this language of literature is now seen to be going into the background again in the future.

It cannot be said at all that all people have lost this language, many students chose Urdu language in their education and have been doing so till now.

Now you will think that the choice of these students has left an impact on the country? Where do these national language speakers disappear? Why not bring any change in general thinking regarding language? So let’s go! Their stories also tell you what happens to them in a subject like international relations that they just disappear.

Students who continue their studies in Urdu are usually subjected to taunts and objections. Even if they reach ‘BA’ by studying in Urdu medium and opt for studying international relations, then the whole problem starts from here.

They are not allowed to study in their national language. Their reasons are completely ignored because Urdu language will not help them in any way. Now the student tries to read in English continuously, but due to reading in Urdu medium, these students face many problems. For example, when the teacher gives the entire lecture in English, the students hardly understand it.

This does not mean that these students are unworthy or weak in studies, because there are some students who have intelligence and knowledge, but because of studying in Urdu language. They cannot give their hundred percent in English language. When they are asked a question, they are unable to answer completely because the means of communication are made difficult for them.

Just imagine if the same student reads this article in Urdu, his mind will run like lightning. Then these same students will not only raise their hands to answer every question of the teacher, but will give answers that will surprise the teacher too.

It is a fact that diamonds are born in our nation, who are very intelligent and understand politics very well, but it is a pity that these diamonds are pushed back just because of adopting Urdu language. .

If they fail, even if they get education with excellent performance, then they wander from door to door looking for a job. It seems difficult to get a job in a good position and every good paying job seems to require English language skills. Our nation has closed the doors of advancement to the speakers of our own national language in the field of international relations. Here the English language wins with brains and ability.

Now if we reverse this whole story, see how much our nation will progress. For example, if these Urdu-speaking diamonds get all the facilities in international relations that English-speaking students get, they don’t know what to do. When these students assume their position at the international level, how much will they promote their language and these same students will take the nation to heights by assuming various positions of the nation thanks to their complete education and if the language If one of the diamonds becomes the ruler of the country, the national language can reach a new height.

When the doors of every job are opened for these students, not only these students will benefit, but their skills will benefit the entire nation. National language facilitates communication for a nation. A person can explain things in his national language, which may not be understood in another language. If Urdu language is used internationally, Pakistan may surprise everyone with its ability to speak and understand politics.

When students studying in Urdu medium have the freedom to use their national language, they will be able to express themselves better. If those studying ‘International Relations’ in Urdu medium go ahead and use their own language, it will not only promote the language but also the nationality.

Urdu speeches will be given in the medium of communication, which will influence the entire nation and gradually the youth will also learn and speak the correct pronunciation of Urdu. If the whole nation starts promoting Urdu language, then hardly anyone can estimate the strength and strength of Pakistan’s alliance. Language is not only a means of communication, but also a nation’s identity, its recognition, its glory.

All the nations that are inhabited in the whole world are known by their own language. Yes! Appearance also identifies the nation to some extent, but mostly language identifies a person as Russian or Japanese, Bengali or English, Arab or Chinese. All nations are known by their language and their way of speaking.

If we do not popularize our language internationally, what will be our identity? Can we proudly say that we are a living and progressive nation? no Please! A nation is not only the name of those who have a belief, but knowing a language is also a sign of a nation, because language creates unity in a nation.

When we use foreign language, on what basis will we be able to call ourselves a free nation? In short, I will say that if we ourselves have forgotten our national language, then at least restrictions should not be imposed on them, who are keeping our national language alive. These people are carrying the torch of freedom because they did not allow the English language to dominate them by adopting the slavery-like thinking and they are the only people who can bring change in the national sense.
