The hearing of the appeal against the acquittal of the accused in the murder case of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto’s brother Murtaza Bhutto was heard after 13 years. The Sindh High Court approved the formal hearing after 3 weeks.
The panel of lawyers submitted the affidavits on behalf of the plaintiff Noor Muhammad Goga to the court.
Appeal Mir Murtaza Bhutto’s employee Noor Muhammad Goga filed an appeal in 2010 against the acquittal of the accused.
In today’s hearing, the panel of lawyers submitted the pleadings on behalf of the plaintiff Noor Muhammad Goga to the court. On which the court directed to schedule the hearing of the appeal after 3 weeks.
The appellant contends that on 20 September 1996, Mir Murtaza Bhutto and his associates were shot at near their house.
After the incident, two cases were filed against the government and Murtaza Bhutto’s employee Noor Muhammad.
In December 2009, a subordinate court acquitted 20 police officers. The same court also acquitted Murtaza Bhutto and his associates from the case.
