Islamabad: Caretaker Federal Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has said that there is no room for terrorism and extremism in Pakistan.
During his visit to the National Counter-Terrorism Authority (NECTA) headquarters, Caretaker Federal Interior Minister Sarfaraz Bugti was given a detailed briefing by the National Coordinator of NECTA, Muhammad Tahir Rai. Meanwhile, he reviewed the security situation of the country and the implementation of the National Action Plan.
The Caretaker Home Minister reviewed the restructuring of Necta and asked that Necta should formulate counter-terrorism and counter-extremism policies and strategies based on fact-based analyses. He said that terrorism and extremism will be completely eradicated. The whole society wants to see Pakistan as a completely peaceful country.
He said that Necta should provide guidance to all institutions by creating a workable policy and strategy. The National Action Plan will be fully implemented. There is no room for terrorism and extremism in Pakistan. The Federal Government stands by and will fully support its law enforcement agencies. Institutions will be provided with all resources and facilities.
Sarfaraz Bugti said that the nation values the sacrifices of its martyrs and will not let these sacrifices go in vain. Narratives of terrorist parties are rejected. Its promotion will be stopped and it will not be given space in the media. Pakistan is built to last and no power in the world can weaken it.
The caretaker federal minister said that the provincial governments and the provincial police will be helped to eliminate the shelters of bandits in the raw area of the Indus River. Bandits will be eradicated to make the river region peaceful. All provincial governments and related institutions should fully implement it, and I will review it myself every month.
