Punjab, flour mill owners announced strike from tomorrow


Once again flour disappeared from shops in Lahore, flour mill owners announced a strike across Punjab from yesterday.

Government subsidized flour bag of 10 kg is not available in most of the shops while the supply of commercial flour of 15 kg has also decreased.

The Punjab government has suspended the wheat quota of 12 flour mills that instigated the strike, Secretary Food Punjab says that they will not come in for blackmail.

On the other hand, the price of chicken also increased in various cities including Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta.

The price of a kilo of chicken has gone up to Rs 600.
