A petition was filed in the Islamabad High Court to dismiss Civil Judge Asim Hafeez in the case of violence against a young domestic worker, Rizwana.
In the petition filed in the Islamabad High Court, the position has been adopted that Civil Judge Asim Hafeez should be dismissed from the job.
The application was filed by Abdullah Malik, President of Civil Society Network Islamabad.
Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamir Farooq will hear the request to remove Civil Judge Asim Hafeez today.
Civil Judge Asim Hafeez’s wife Kim Sun Rizwana is on judicial remand on the charge of torture, while the civil judge has been made OSD by the Lahore High Court due to the torture case.
It should be noted that the investigation of the torture case against young employee Rizwana is going on, in which the husband of accused Soumya Asim and civil judge Asim Hafeez have been summoned by the joint investigation team.
According to the sources, JIT has summoned Civil Judge Asim Hafeez 5 times, Civil Judge has not yet appeared before the Joint Investigation Team.
