Karachi: Due to the excessive use of smartphones all over the world, especially children’s eyesight has been seriously threatened. Thus, vision impairment and eye diseases are becoming an epidemic. In this regard, certain fruits can protect our precious eyes.
These fruits include especially carrots, apricots, mangoes and citrus fruits and other fruits and vegetables.
Kino, oranges and watermelons
Grapefruit, cano, oranges, watermelons, lemons are rich in vitamin C. This vitamin C restores the collagen of the eyes to a healthy state. This has a good effect on overall vision.
Some studies have shown that age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is common in the elderly. AMD can also be avoided if the above juicy fruits are made part of the daily routine to avoid this condition. It should be noted that there is no effective treatment for AMD.
apricot
Excellent apricots are grown in Pakistan and are available across the country at low cost. They are rich in beta-carotene. Beta-carotene on one hand prevents aging and on the other hand protects the entire system related to vision from degeneration.
Zinc, copper, vitamin C, and vitamin E in apricots are not only good for the skin but also prevent AMD. So why not make this delicious fruit a part of your life.
Avocado
Avocado is now available in Pakistan as well. It is also called a ‘superfood’ because of its omega fatty acids. Then, every month some special feature of avocado comes out.
But this tasteless fruit is also good for the eyes. It is rich in compounds called lutein and zeaxanthin, which protect the eyes from harmful ultraviolet light and protect vision.
Papaya
Papaya is a neglected fruit that is available everywhere at low prices. It keeps the blood pressure normal and is also a heart protector. Eating papaya in the morning reduces blood pressure and heart diseases.
But this same papaya is important for the skin on the one hand and on the other hand many minerals and compounds present in it are useful for the eyes.
Like avocado, it is rich in compounds called lutein and zeaxanthin. They act as a natural sunblock for the eyes and protect the retina. Apart from this, it also protects the eyes from harmful ultraviolet attacks.
The carrot
Carrots are rich in vitamin A. It contains a large amount of beta-carotene. If there is a lack of vitamin A in the body, it inevitably weakens the eyesight. It is also called poor man’s apple because of vitamin A.
Carrot juice protects the eyes and is especially useful for children.
mango
Mangoes are rich in vitamin A, lutein and zeaxanthin. Some studies have shown that mangoes are effective in curing dry eyes.
Mango is a nutritious fruit and provides instant energy, but the many antioxidants it contains have been found to be very beneficial for vision.
