Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar directed the immediate closure of dilapidated and non-compliant chairlifts.
The Caretaker Prime Minister has also directed the immediate rescue of 8 people trapped in the chairlift at Pashto in Batagram.
In this regard, the Caretaker Prime Minister has directed NDMA, PDMA and all relevant rescue organizations to utilize all resources.
Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar has also directed to ensure safety arrangements on all such chairlifts in hilly areas.
It should be noted that an operation has been started to rescue the children trapped in the chair lift in the Alai Tehsil of Bitgram.
The chair lift crossing the deep chasm has been stuck since 7 am due to a broken rope.
