In connection with the Hyderabad-Sukkur Motorway scam, 6 separate inquiries have been combined and the matter has been handed over only to NAB Karachi.
According to sources, separate investigations were being conducted in NAB Karachi, NAB Sukkur, Anti-Corruption Karachi, Anti-Corruption Sukkur, FIA Karachi and Sukkur in connection with the Hyderabad Sukkur Motor Corruption Scam.
According to the sources, all inquiries have been canceled by NAB Karachi to strengthen the case in this regard. On which NAB Karachi has also decided to register anti-money laundering cases against the accused.
According to the sources, NAB Karachi has seized Rs 86 crore in cash related to Matiari district, while the properties of the accused bought with Rs 1 billion 20 crore were seized from the National Highway Authority in Matiari and Nowshahrofiroz districts. The administration had received more than 7 billion.
The total value of the small farm from Matiari and Nowshera Feroze districts is more than 5 billion rupees. An amount of 2 billion 37 crore rupees was withdrawn from the bank accounts of Matiari district while the value of the stolen money was 1 billion 81 crore.
3 billion 40 crore rupees were withdrawn from district Nowsehru Feroze while 2 billion 85 crore rupees were stolen. The value of recovered and seized cash and confiscated properties in the case has reached 2 billion 30 crore rupees.
In the case, investigation is going on against 20 accused including Deputy Commissioners of both districts, an Assistant Commissioner.
