The Provincial Management Service Officers Association of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has written a letter to the Chief Secretary against the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) over the detention of a Grade 19 officer.
In the letter, PMS Officers Association has accused NAB of overstepping its powers.
The association said that Additional Commissioner Kohat was abducted from the road by NAB. A Grade 19 officer was arrested in an old case under trial.
The letter said that no FIRs and arrests are made without the prior approval of the competent authority.
PMS Association says that departmental action is taken on misconduct of officers.
The letter further said that the case should be taken up with the concerned authorities for administrative protection.
