On the occasion of the bride’s departure, her brother was shot dead by the groom’s relatives, due to which the ceremony turned into mourning.
According to foreign media, this surprising but very sad incident happened in the city of Tripoli in northern Lebanon, where the preparations for the bride’s departure after the marriage were underway, while the groom’s relatives shot and killed the bride’s brother.
After this tragic incident, the wedding ceremony turned into mourning as the bride was so shocked that she fainted on the road.
Family sources say that the bride’s brother wanted to take the sister to the wedding hall in his car, but the groom’s brother did not agree. It was this trivial matter that led to a bloody fight and the opposing side fired and killed the bride’s brother, Momin Al-Biruti.
As soon as the incident was reported, security forces reached the scene and arrested three suspects and started interrogation.
