Islamabad: Listed under the Official Secrets Act A special court was set up in Islamabad for the hearings of the cases, in which Shah Mahmood Qureshi was presented in the cipher case.
According to Express News, Judge Abul Hasnat Muhammad Zulqarnain of the Anti-Terrorism Court Number One has been appointed as the judge of the special court which will hear the cases registered under the Official Secrets Act.
The Anti-Terrorism Court has confirmed that only one court has been set up across the country under the Official Secrets Act, in which in-camera proceedings will take place under the Official Secrets Act.
Meanwhile, the first case was heard in the court today, Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi was produced in the court. A case has been registered against him under the Official Secrets Act for missing the cipher.
Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain held an in-camera hearing against Shah Mehmood Qureshi, during which the unrelated persons present in the court room were thrown out, a police force was deployed outside the court.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s physical remand was requested by the FIA, on which the court reserved the decision, FIA has sought Shah Mahmood Qureshi’s physical remand for thirteen days.
