A colorful start to the three-day Pakistan Literature Festival in Lahore

Lahore: The three-day Pakistan Literature Festival organized by Arts Council Karachi started on Friday afternoon at Alhamra Arts Council Lahore and will continue till Sunday night.

According to Express News, Sindh Provincial Education and Culture Minister Syed Sardar Shah inaugurated the festival while Anwar Maqsood, Iftikhar Arif, Hamid Mir, Nayar Ali Dada, Kamran Lashari, Justice (Retd) Nasira Iqbal, Kishore Naheed, Zafar Masood, Mian Faqir Ijaz. Uddin, Fateh Muhammad Malik, Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui Razi Ahmed and others were also present in the opening ceremony.

Due to the lack of space in Hall No. 1 of Al-Hamra, thousands of people attended the opening ceremony outside on the screen, while before the ceremony, banners and posters were displayed on major roads and intersections of Lahore city. Decorated with and book stalls will also be set up.

About 10,000 people visited Al Hamra on the first day of the festival, the majority of whom were young people, who gave an enthusiastic welcome to Anwar Maqsood and Hamid Mir and Ahmad Shah.

Arts Council Karachi Director Admin Shakeel Khan prayed for forgiveness for Amjad Islam Amjad while Iftikhar Arif and Kishore Naheed expressed their views on the services of Amjad Islam Amjad.

Sindh Provincial Education and Culture Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah said that we have lost a lot, now we have nothing left to lose, the message in the poetry of Sachal Sarmast, Lal Shahbaz Qalandar and Bhale Shah needs to be made public. , the Punjab Government should patronize such people who are trying to spread the message of peace of the Sufis.

President Arts Council Karachi Mohammad Ahmad Shah said in his welcome speech that a nation whose culture dies cannot survive. There are many hatreds and fights in our society. We have to end these hatreds by developing literature and culture. And we have come to Lahore with the message of brotherhood, peace and friendship in all units to connect the youth of Pakistan with literature and culture.

He said that Lahore, Multan and Sindh are part of the same Indus civilization, but Lahore is an ancient cultural city with its own history and culture. Jaye, we introduced the Pakistan Literature Festival which we are taking to units across Pakistan.

Renowned intellectuals Anwar Maqsood, Hamid Mir, Faqir Ejazuddin and Zulfiqar Zulfi also expressed their views on this occasion.
