Seven people, including a two-year-old child, were killed in a gas explosion in a residential building in Siberia, Russia.
According to the Ministry of Health of Siberia, the explosion occurred in a residential area of the Siberian city of Novosibirsk.
Russia’s Investigative Committee has said that it has started an investigation into the incident and detained two people who worked as gas maintenance workers in the building several days ago.
A multi-storey residential building was destroyed by the blast, the Health Minister went to the scene to review the relief work.
According to health department officials, 7 injured are in the hospital, out of which 2 are in critical condition.
Earlier on Tuesday, a 5-storey residential building was destroyed by a gas explosion in Yefremov district of Moscow, 5 people were killed in this incident.
