The president and vice president of Taiwan donated one month’s salary to the earthquake victims.
In this regard, the President of Taiwan Tsai Ing-wen says that we hope that the aid will be appreciated by the Turkish people.
Taiwan’s prime minister and his deputy have also announced to donate one month’s salary.
Taiwan’s government has also announced 2 million dollars in aid for the earthquake-affected areas.
A 44-member aid team from Taiwan is also participating in relief operations in Turkey. The government of Taiwan has also established a special fund to help earthquake victims in Turkey.
According to the news agency, the people of Taiwan have donated 343 thousand dollars to the relief fund so far.
