Boston, USA: A study of more than 90,000 people by health professionals found that olive oil consumption in dementia patients reduced the chance of dying by 3 decades.
According to media reports, people who consume a tablespoon of olive oil daily are 28% less likely to die from dementia.
The results of the research presented at the annual meeting of the American Society for Nutrition in Boston said that even a small and modest change in daily diet can make a big difference, and an example of this is olive oil, which if added to your diet daily, reduces the risk of death from dementia.
Experts also say that studies like this show a link between olives and the brain, but more research is needed on how olive oil affects the brain in older adults.
