Former US President Barack Obama’s personal chef drowned in a lake.
Massachusetts police have recovered the body of 45-year-old Tafari Campbell from Edgertown Lake, near Obama’s home.
Police said a paddle boarder reported that the man he was riding with did not come up from the lake.
Emergency services did not find Tafari’s body until evening, after which it was searched using ‘sonar’.
Obama and his wife Michelle were not home at the time of the accident.
Tafari worked as a cook at the White House during Obama’s presidency.
After completing his presidency, Obama included him in his household staff.
In an area called Martha’s Vineyard, the Obama family has a 7,000-square-foot mansion with a lake next to it, Tafari drowned in the same lake.
