Prisoner committed suicide in camp jail of Lahore, prison authorities have found the body of the prisoner with a noose.
Taking notice of the incident, IG Prisons Mian Farooq Nazir has suspended Assistant Superintendent Jail Muhammad Malik and Chief Head Warder Muhammad Rafiq.
According to jail officials, the deceased Mudassar Hussain was a resident of Hafizabad and was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder.
Officials said that he was cleaning the lawn of the newly constructed cell when he committed suicide by hanging himself from an iron fence.
IG Prisons has ordered DIG Lahore Region Naveed Rauf to investigate the incident.
In this regard, a request has been made to the District and Sessions Judge Lahore to conduct an investigation.
