KARACHI: Disclosure of money laundering of billions in Defense Creek Marina project

Karachi: In the guise of Karachi Defense Phase 8 money laundering in the guise of the Creek Marina project, the FIA ​​has started an investigation into the scam.

According to FIA officials, the accused extorted billions of rupees from people through a residential project called Creek Marina in Defense Phase 8, opened fake accounts in connivance with bank staff and sent more than three billion rupees from Pakistan through money laundering.

The Anti-Money Laundering Wing of FIA had received requests from several allottees that they had booked flats in the Creek Marina project located in Defense Phase 8. Despite the payment of the amounts, the builder Minehart Singapore had not completed the project and handed over the flats to them despite the lapse of 20 years.

The victims also sent a complaint to the Public Accounts Committee on the issue, which was also noticed in the committee and now the FIA ​​has started an investigation on the complaints of the allottees.

The investigations of the Anti-Money Laundering Wing of the FIA ​​so far have proved that a company called My Heart Singapore extorted billions of rupees from people through the Creek Marina project, opened bank accounts with the connivance of bank staff without registering with the Board of Investment and transferred more than three billion rupees abroad.

FIA officials have recommended filing a separate case against Shahzad Naseem and his associates under banking crime. Along with Shehzad Naseem and Umar Shehzad, Narat Mand and Ayesha Warsi are also nominated in Money Laundering.

According to the FIA ​​officials, the accused facilitated the transfer of huge sums of money from Pakistan abroad in the context of money laundering.
