Hollywood movie ‘Barbie’ was allowed to release in cinemas in Punjab.
The film ‘Barbie’ was facing difficulties on its release in Punjab province, but now the release has been allowed on the condition of censoring 4 controversial dialogues.
The Punjab Censor Board clarified in a statement yesterday that the film ‘Barbie’ was not banned but we only stopped it from releasing because of some homosexual content.
The Censor Board has asked the local distributor to censor 4 controversial dialogues of the film to allow the release of the film.
It should be noted that after the Censor Board objected to the controversial content, rumors started circulating on social media that this film has been banned in Punjab.
The film has already been released in Sindh and Islamabad and now after getting permission from the Censor Board, its screening and booking has also started in cinemas of Punjab.
